Implementation of a technical solution to increase trust and the handling of personal data for the customer.
Our mission was to help Jobtech solve the following main problems during our four week sprint:
"How can job-seeking individuals on the Swedish labor market be motivated to share their personal data between digital services to make it easier to communicate with the labor market and it´s various stakeholders?
The solution must be simple and sustainable for the public and private sector".
Therefore, our sprint questions were:
UX-Designer
Facilitator
User Research
Prototyping & User testing
Miro
Figma
Teams, Discord & zoom
Lovisa Theolin Janmark
Johanna Strandberg

A lot of our research went into examining the negativity about the Arbetsförmedlingen among the general public and what caused it.
We read reports, articles, scanned social media and conducted initial interviews with people who had experience with the Arbetsförmedlingen.
We also researched other job sites to see what services they offered that Arbetsförmedlingen did not.
The research was then the basis for the continued work with empathy maps, user journeys, concept sketches, etc. to develop our solution.
We chose to concept test three different solutions as a low fidelity prototype to see what gave the most value to the test subjects.
1. Create profile
Here we wanted to test automating and streamlining how to enter your personal information in the job search process. We received some negative feedback on this part, and chose in the second stage to focus on the other concepts.
2. Dashboard
We wanted to test making a dashboard as a tool to get an overview of one's job search.
That was the part we got the best feedback on.
The test subjects thought it was fun and that it would motivate them in their job search.
3. Mood tracker
We wanted to see if we could help jobseekers with their well-being and at the same time help the Arbetsförmedlingen to create more trust and a stronger relationship with the jobseekers.
We also received good feedback on this, and they liked the focus on well-being.
An important point was that the test subjects wanted to know with whom they shared their feelings and why. They also wanted the mood to have a stronger connection to the job search.
After the first user test, the dashboard and the mood tracker were assembled into a clickable high fidelity prototype. To also link back to Jobtech's goals, added how it looks when managing the data sharing permissions for the various job ads.
We did another user test and a dashboard was valuable for the job seeker to get a better overview and to increase motivation in an uplifting, positive way. We received a lot of positive feedback from our testers and this was something that was clearly requested.
The mood tracker proved to have the potential to become a good tool for job seekers and administrators, and a support for the job seeker to see the correlation between the job search and their mood and gives them the opportunity to reflect on the mood.
It was clear both during interviews and user tests that you want more support and to feel seen as it is a very stressful process to apply for a job.
There was also feedback about whether or not you should be able to choose to share your feelings with the case manager. And that there must be a clear purpose for what happens to the information when you actually share it.
During the process, we realized that there are big problems for job seekers to be called to an interview due to e.g. name, gender or age. The employment agency has a unique opportunity to use its technical platform to reward and enable fairer recruitment.
By creating opportunities for employers to hide information (name, gender and age) about candidates when recruiting, people who might otherwise have been screened out are given a chance. We also hope that the solution would attract a larger group of job seekers who have the right skills and increase the chance of finding the right person to hire.
"A great adjustment to the Arbetsförmedlingen's layout! Educational presentation as well."

"Nice fair trade. We've been on that and this one is useful, Control Panel. You're on to something interesting with the mood tracker."
