Improve the user-friendliness and accessibility of the existing website.
I was assigned to investigate how well-known a certain organization is. Improve the user-friendliness and accessibility of the existing website.
I did a survey, wireframe and accessibility research.

The purpose of the survey was to find out if people know about the organization and what they think of the new website.
I mixed questions that were both about customer satisfaction and feedback on the website, this was perhaps a bit scattered but still gave valuable insights.
The goal of the survey was to gain insights into whether there was something that many people reacted to at first sight of the service and the website.
Here are the questions I included in the survey:
The mission was changed from focusing on reaching out to young people to focusing more on accessibility for a larger target group.
I researched color blindness, color combinations, easy-to-read fonts and how screen readers are used.
I produced a wireframe on the home page to illustrate the improved usability. I also focused on improving the text content and making it more user-friendly.
As the web agency has customer clauses to follow vis-à-vis the customer, I cannot post any customer-specific photos here in the portfolio, but I can show them during a possible interview.

Clearer purpose and goals
There was confusion about the organization at first glance and it raised questions from those who responded to the survey, such as "Do they want to provide the service or build a large registry?" and "Why is it free and what's the catch?".
The interpretation of the illustration
There were some comments regarding the illustration on the website. More illustrations with different types of representation of people were requested.
Color choice
The colors on the website attracted some comments. They took over the attention from the content of the website.
The next step I would take is to do further tests more targeted at a certain target group with a focus on accessibility.
After the tests, I would work on color choices on the entire website based on WCAG. Many people with color blindness have difficulty distinguishing between green, red and brown, and some users cannot perceive color differences, for example because they are using a monochrome screen or screen reader.
Regarding the text on the website, I would simplify the language and make it more user-friendly and easy to read.
Illustrations with a wider representation of people and creating more interactive illustrations is something I would also develop.
It was difficult to get a handle on this project due to the fact that I had very little information from the client and it was difficult to choose a focus area to work on. There were simply too many question marks for me to answer, so I stuck to the survey and only produced a concept sketch in the form of a wireframe with a focus on clarity.
